Oysters and Water Quality

The purpose of the May 2025 meeting was to discuss and share updates on GTMNERR oyster research and monitoring efforts, identify next steps in oyster monitoring within Northeast Florida, and share research findings on the effects of boat wakes on oyster reefs. A full report on water quality within the GTMNERR was shared by St. John’s River Water Management District and GTMNERR’s Water Quality Program Manager.
